The Flexima II was the first machine designed by MIE for the new owners Vickers medical launched in the latter end of 1995. The machine was badged under the name of Datex Engstrom and sold in the UK and throughout Europe. The very early models were fitted with a Penlon AV600 ventilator, but soon replaced with a Ventilator jointly designed by MIE and the German manufacturer Salvia. It also featured a Dameca Bag in Bottle system and Absorber, and with the option to have Datex monitoring.
