The apparatus is designed to provide a self contained unit to receive a baby at birth with provision for Oxygen administration and facility for suction.

The cot is made of clear heavy gauge, rigid plastic material and it measures 635mm L x 381mm W x 178mm D. A hinged drop front facilitates clinical examination and the plane of the cot can be varied by an adjustable column fitted at the rear. A foam mattress completes this assembly.

The remainder of the cabinet , which is fitted with large castors, provides for a spacious drawer, to accommodate drugs, catheters, instruments, etc. Above the drawer, within a chromed guard rail, provision is made to accommodate a standard bowl. A hand rail and extending tray complete the cabinet. The finish is in cream enamel and heavy chrome plating.
